About the Author
With over 40 years of walking experience in Scotland, my journey with the Munros began in the 1990s, following an article I read in the Sunday Times about Sir Hugh T Munro of Lindertis and his mountian classifications. After a decade of planning, walking, backpacking and climbing in all weather conditions, sometimes alone often with companions, I compleated the Munros in 2001, saving the highest Ben Nevis as the final peak.
Now, at the age of 60, having taken some years making a career and following other pursuits, I feel drawn back to my passion for Munro walking with a fresh perspective to compleate the round again, taking a more leisurely pace as semi retirement approaches and documenting the experiences as the new challenge progresses. This renewed ambition inspires me to share my experiences and foster a community for fellow enthusiasts. Fittingly, my new chapter has already begun with Ben Nevis, revisiting the mountain that marked the end of my first journey.
